Best drunk is found at the home of the the 24/7 happy happy hour $1.00 domestic bottle beer 24/7, .75 well and 1/2 off appetizer goes to the Key Largo this dump is great for cheap drinks and eats.

I put 550 on the arena game Saturday and the board had 94 as the total when I received my ticket what do you know it went to 95. Then my friend put 220 on the total and the line was then 96, seemed like bullshit, but what can you do. Good damn thing they scored 110.

Go to Strip tease and you won't be dissapointed it's behind the RIO.

The Bellegios buffet was outstanding, however, it's 34.00 for dinner.

This is what a joke Las Vegas has become. Bet a nickel and the line moves a point. Bet another $200 and it moves another point. Did they ask you if you were a runner? Did they ask you if you were part of a betting syndicate?

Are you saying the Bellagio charges $34 at the buffet for a single person?

Vegas has gotten ridiculous.

My friend went to Harrah's to bet an Arena game. He went up to bet $330/$300. They said they would only take $110 to win $100. He asked "Why so low?" and the ticket writer said "only sharps bet Arena football."

A one hundred dollar bet! Why even put it on the board?

During the NBA season, I went to the Hilton to bet an NBA total. They would only take $500. That is nuts. The Hilton and Caesers are the same book. Can you imagine? Caesers only taking a $500 bet on an NBA total? ... it's true.

The books in Vegas could make a bundle if they knew what they were doing and took some action. Instead, they don't know what they are doing and they don't take any action.

What was their limit on the total? One dime?

What happened to the dirt cheap buffets so they can bring you into their tables??

I feel sorry for the new/younger guys... Never having known the real Vegas.

The Sands, where you could see all 4 sides while standing in the middle of the casino. Little Caesers, where the writers wouldn't blink an eye with a 5k bet.

Best comps for green action...

The cheap buffets are out there, they're just shit though. The Bellagio is probably the best and the most you'll pay at $34.00. If you want something nice you'll pay atleast $15.00. If you want something cheap you can probably find one for $6.00.

Chuck,
When I tried to place my bet (550) on the over in the arena game saturday i was told 300 was the limit. Then he pulled the well let me check if they'll take it. They did for a point higher than what was listed. Then, they had the nerve to hit my friend for another point 5 seconds later. I was surprised about the run around on a nickel bet to tell you the truth.

Bottom line is don't mess around ANY vegas books except for the STARDUST, they don't pull this crap there, they take ALL kinds of action.

The Stardust won't take more than a couple hundred on a college hoops game. They're a low-roller joint too...

All places in Vegas are low-roller joints except for NFL sides. The big joints will let you bet $20k on those.

For college sports, or totals on any sport Vegas is scared to take any action.

It's funny the sportsbooks got Nevada Gaming to pass a rule of no cell phone use in the sportsbooks. It's a joke for two reasons... firstly, you can just walk outside the sportsbook and make a call... secondly, you'd have to have some monster network setup to get any kind of real action on a game with nickel limits everywhere. It's an anachronism.

The lunch verse dinner price can really shoot up. I think the Bellagio was 20.00 for lunch and dinner was 34.00. The difference is probably the steak and seafood is on the dinner menu. I hear the rio and harrahs is good also and I think lunch is about 13.00.

I spent most of the time at the bar and tables so I didn't do much walking. The cabs will always be about 10-15 seems where ever you're going. My friend was a lazy azz so we must have dropped 200 on cab fares. the free trams and low cost buses are worthless so get out your finest pair of walking shoes and be ready to pay for cab fares if you're going to get out and see the town.

if you plan to go to a topless joint. I learned that some of the cabbies will try to steer you to certain topless clubs because they get a kick back from the club. Which is fine if the club pays the fee. If you're not careful you'll pay for the fee. It works like this you get in the cab and tell the driver to take you to xyz club and he'll laugh and then you say what? The cabbie says that place has shitty women or the line is to long, whatever the fuk excuse he can come up with to say you'll like abc club better. abc topless is 10.00 a head, however when you walk in they sqeeze you for 20.00 a head. If they try to do that just say i paid 10.00 last night and they sould charge you the right price if you make any issue.

Arena football has ALWAYS been like that. I remember betting it a lot in 94 when 200 was the limit in the few places that offered it, and this was when Vegas first had a team. Its a sad fact, but its reality they get no action on those games and I don't blame them for avoiding the bets. Those that say why put it up, well its because snotty nose kids complain that the game is on TV and I can't bet it, not to mention people like Chuck would call them two-bit for not taking action on it. Fact is its a terrible booking proposition for them and they can't win these battles of public opinion so they just do what they do and we have to accept that. No law says a book must give you the right to hammer them at something they admit they have no edge at. I would almost guarantee they lose money on this sport every year. Its just incredibly beatable and juice is nowhere sufficient to protect them.

As for the buffet, there are more expensive Sunday brunches than $34, but the Bellagio is as good as it gets. While it might depend on what your tastes are, I don't think too many people leave that place thinking they didn't get their money's worth. The dessert alone is worth $20. Good value for buffets is almost always at places far off the Strip. The Orleans is an excellent value, especially breakfast/lunch at about $6 for great food and usually the line isn't that bad.

on nickel arena games. If so, it really surprises me they would'nt take more action. I believe they would have, but the line may have been 3 or more points higher than what was posted.
